This modifier indicates that multiple procedures, excluding evaluation and management services, physical medicine, rehabilitation services, or supplies, were performed in a single session by the same provider. The primary procedure is reported normally, while the additional procedures are identified by appending this modifier to their respective codes. Note that this modifier should not be used with designated "add-on" codes.
